2nd Grade Teacher

Description

The teacher shall prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God.

This employee is contracted by the School Board upon recommendation of the Administrator for one school year. The employee is responsible to the Administrator and may supervise student teachers, aides, and volunteers. This is a 10-month, exempt employee that is paid on a salaried basis.

Requirements:

Hold a teaching degree from an accredited postsecondary institution or be willing to participate in a program to complete such a degree within a specified time period. ACSI teacher’s certificate desired.

Special Education Aide

The teacher aide shall prayerfully aid teachers in their managerial and supervisory duties; support the school facility in custodial duties; and aid students as they learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God.

The teacher aide shall be a born-again high school graduate who desires to serve the faculty in a support role and aid students in the learning process.  Other qualifications may be added by the School Board upon the recommendations of the Administrator as deemed appropriate.

This is a 10-month, non-exempt employee that is paid with an hourly wage that must be supplemented if overtime is worked.  Hours are flexible, with up to 40 hours/week during the school year.

Custodian

The custodian should emulate the servanthood of Christ as an example to the students of the Christian Academy of Madison while providing an orderly, clean environment at the school facility, which is conducive to student learning.

The custodian shall be a born-again individual who willingly desires to serve the school and those within it through specific custodial duties. Other qualifications may be added by the School Board as deemed appropriate.

This is a 12-month, non-exempt employee that is paid with an hourly wage that must be supplemented if overtime is worked.  Hours are flexible, with up to 40 hours/week during the school year and up to 20 hours/week during the summer.

Substitute Teacher

The substitute teacher shall prayerfully fill in for absent teachers in their managerial and supervisory duties; and aid students as they learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God.

The substitute teacher shall be a born-again high school graduate who desires to serve the faculty in a support role and aid students in the learning process.  Other qualifications may be added by the School Board upon the recommendations of the Administrator as deemed appropriate.

This is an exempt employee that is paid with a daily wage.  Hours are as needed.
